C. Outer silver mounted double body, shark skin covered with silver pin-work and silver ring holes to let out the sound. Inner double body, the bezels pierced and engraved with floral decoration, the back centred with a rosette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and arrow" hands. M. Gilt brass full plate signed Recordon & Dupont, Markwick Markham, London, No. 18470, with cylindrical pillars, going train with fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with a rosette, the foot sunk in the back plate ovelay pierced engraved with scrolling foliage in the manner of Vulliamy. Quarter striking and pull wind repeating trains with gilt brass fixed barrels. Striking and repeating on a bell. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 143 mm.
