Barraud, Cornhill, London No. 9103, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1810. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl-set watch.

Three body, Empire, with fixed cuvette, reeded band, split pearl-set bezels pendant and bow, the back panel finely painted with a bouquet of Summer flowers against a scarlet translucent enamel over engine-turning, outer pale green champlevé enamelled decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold "pear" bands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with scrolled foliage, ruby endstone. Gilt brass dust-cap, finely engraved with scrolled foliage. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm.
