D. champagne with applied gold indexes + auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hours and 30 minutes registers, outer tachometer graduation, graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the lunations. " Bâton" gold hands. M. 15- gilt brass, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. In excellent condition. Diam. 36 mm.

Biography Harry S. Truman, American Politician (1884-1972). Democrat Senator in 1935, Vice-President of F.D. Roosvelt, he became President of the United States in 1945 until 1953. He ended WW II by using the atomic bomb against Japan in 1945. He signed the peace treaty with Japan in 1951. He also implemented the Marshall Plan for the building of Western Europe. Potsdam: German city south-west of Berlin. The Conference of Potsdam took place in July-August 1945 between Truman, Staline and Churchill (then Attlee). At this conference, the political and economic principles governing the control of Germany alter its capitulation were determined.
