C. Double body, Directoire, bezels and pendant with paillonne decoration, the back of blue enamel, decorated with a basket of flowers set on a table between two columns. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer centre seconds ring. Gold pierced hands. M. GiIt brass, drawn from the Lepine caliber with free standing barrel, the bridges engraved with foliage, virgule escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.

By its style, the decoration of the case, the shape of the hands and the calibre used for the movement, this watch is very similar to those made at the same period by Jaquet-Droz for the Chinese market and was certainely produced in Switzerland by the workshop of this celebrated maker.
