Courvoisier Frères, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 91478, Swiss, made for the Indian market, circa 1890. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, hunting cased, diamond set, keyless, minute repeating watch.
C. Four body, "bassine et filets", the bezels chased with a formai decoration, cover and back of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, the cover decorated with a diamond inlaid bunche of flowers ( slightly restored), the back with a diamond inlaid rosette. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 14-, nickel plated, 29 jewels, gold wheel train, counterpoised straight )ine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 38 mm.
