Not signed, Swiss, made for the Indian market, circa 1890. Very fine and rare, 18 ct. gold and enamel, hunting cased, ruby and diamond set, small keyless minute repeating watch.

Four body, massive," bassine", the band chased with a palm-leaf decoration, the cover with a coiled serpent in high relief, enamelled in red and blue and set with rubies and diamonds, the back enamelled with painted flowers, birds and butterflies. Gold cuvette. D. Gold with fancy Roman numerals on a pink opalescent enamel chapter ring over engineturning, the dark blue enamel centred with a gold inlaid compass card. Gold "spade" hands. M. 12,5-gilt brass, 29 jewels, straight )ine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. In very good condition. Diam. 36 mm.
