Notes

Fine example of an American mass production watch with the famous single wheel duplex escapement with the punched escape wheel, adopted by Waterbury for most of the "one dollar watches". An identical watch from The Time Museum, Rockford, Illinois, is described and illustrated by Donald R. Hoke, in The Time Museum Historical Catalogue of American Pocket Watches, 1991, p. 249, No. 231.
