"Criquet", No. 1208, Brevete S.G.D.G., circa 1900. Fine and unusual silver keyless alarm watch.

C. Three body massive, "pomme et gouge", the revolving bezel with small glazed aperture for the alarm setting minute divisions, chased with a floral decoration, the back chased in high relief with a Iocust with outer decoration matching that of the bezel. Silver engine-turned cuvette pierced for the sound, inset on the reverse with a thin blued steel panel increasing the sound transmitted by a pin, in the manner of a gramophone. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, red half hour division, outer minute ring visible through the bezel aperture only. Blued steel fancy hands. M. 17"', gilt brass three quarter plate double train with differential winding, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Alarm simulating the typical song of locusts. In very good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
