Double body, Louis XVI, with rose-diamond set bezel, the back chased with symbols of love and fidelity, outer blue enamel ring (slightly restored) and rose-diamond set chased foliage decoration on the border. Matching gold and enamel, diamond-set châtelaine with four elements, with chased symbols of love and fidelity, floral decoration and trophies of science against a blue enamel ground (slightly restored). Matching key and seal and two gold and enamel charms. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Diamond-set Louis XVI hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on a bell (restored) by depressing the pendant. signed on the dial and back plate. In good condition. Diam. 39 mm.
