Fra. Perigal, Royal Exchange, London, No. 20043, with London hallmarks for 1791. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl and gemset pair cased watch.
C. Outer double body with scallop edge, internai border with blue and white champleve enamelled decoration and set with small diamonds, the bezels set with alternate splitpearls and rubies, the back of blue enamel over engine-turning. Inner double body, polished. GiIt brass dust-cap. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Gold arrow hands. M. Hinged gilt brass with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved gilt brass cock with diamond end-stone, the back plate with applied gilt brass panel chased with a floral and foliage decoration. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
