Not signed, Swiss, circa 1810. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel form watch designed as a cockle shell.

C. Double body, the covers with engraved gold decoration inset with champleve enamelled patterns simulating the shell structure in white, blue, yellow and red with loop pendant. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Polished gold hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement with plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and regulator, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. In good condition. Dim. 37 x 29 mm.
