Not signed, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine and rare 18 ct. gold, pearl-set, quarter repeating automaton pendant watch with visible balance.
C. Two piece, rectangular with cut-out corners, the bezel set with split-pearls, the back with a slide covering the winding holes. D. Small eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. The blue enamel dial-plate with a gold floral decoration and a circular aperture for the visible diamond-set plain four arm balance. Applied on either side of the dial and balance aperture small Cupid automaton Jacks strike hours and quarters on two bells. M. Shaped inverted gilt brass with going barrel, cylinder escapement. Repeating on two bells with slide on the border and repeating work on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 36 x 21 mm.
