Not signed, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel form watch designed as a shield escutcheon.

C. Double body with split-pearl set bezels, the back of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, centred with a painted flower. Gold shaped screwed cuvette D. Small eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals and circular aperture for the visible balance. Blued-steel hands. Dial plate of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning with white champleve decoration on the border of the balance aperture. M. Egg shaped inverted giIt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, cylinder escapement with four-arm paste-set balance, flat balance spring. In good condition with a gold and enamel chain set with a Malta Cross, a pencil and a seal. Dim. 36 x 23 mm.
