Ls. Mousquet, Lauri(s), Vaucluse, France, circa 1840. Very rare experimental clockwatch with special escapement.

C. Later gilt bronze. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel "scoties" hands. M. 20"', brass, Lepine type calibre with free standing barrel, very unusual deadbeat verge escapement with 12 star-wheel and single impulse. Unusual striking train ( partly lacking) with going barrel and the gongs beneath the dial. Signed on the bridges. Going train in working condition. Diam. 55 mm.
