Not signed, Swiss, circa 1780. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, ruby and pearl-set quarter repeating watch with a later gold and enamel specially made matching chatelaine, in a leather fitted box.
C. Double body, Louis XVI, the back with a fine enamel panel painted with a scene depicting Venus and Cupid, outer green enamelled leaf decoration chased in high relief and set with split-pearls and rubies. XIXth century matching chatelaine with a fine enamel panel painted with a scene depicting a maiden paying tribute to the statue of Venus and Cupid. Outer gilt brass protecting case. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XVI hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, converted to cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. In very good condition, with a gold and cut-steel work chain, a small gold medallion, a gold cross, a key and a fine gold and enamel agate mounted seal, carved with three Iady's heads. Diam. 40 mm.
