Notes

Such chronometers were used in observatories for the synchronisation of 1/100 second recorder chronograph, it was also used for car races and for recording speed records in the 1930's. In 1935, Jules Auricoste was in charge of the collection at the Musée National des Techniques (C.N.A.M.) Paris. The famous Horloge Marine made by Pierre Le Roy was restored by him.
