Notes

The engraving "en taille douce" of the side panel is of outstanding quality and is typical of nearly mid XlXth century in Geneva for watches, snuff-boxes and singing birds. The unusual diamond set border of the singing bird cover enhance the colours of the enamelled miniature by Prochet.
