Not signed, attributed to C. Bruguier à Genève, circa 1850. Very fine silver and enamel, singing bird box.

C. Two part with lobed corners, entirely decorated with black and blue champleve enamelled decoration over an engine-turned ground. Lid enamelled with a finely painted Swiss landscape (slightly restored), a bunch of flowers against a blue ground on the enamel backing. Pierced and engraved gilt brass grid. Multi-coloured feathered bird with moving body, wings, tait, opening beak and turning head. M. Brass plate, fusee with chain, stacked cams, fly regulator and rectangular bellow. In very good condition. Dim. 94 x 58 x 32 mm.
