C. Bruguier à Genève, No. 346, circa 1850. Fine tortoise shell and 18 ct. gold, singing bird box.

C. Two part, entirely made of tortoise shell, inlaid with a fine engraved gold floral decoration, hinged back panel for the key compartment. The singing bird cover enamelled with a fine painted Swiss landscape, snowy mountains on the back ground ( slightly restored). M. Rectangular plates with turned pillars, fusee with chain, rectangular bellow, the bird with moving wings, tail, beak and turning head controlled by a stack of 8 cams, gold engraved grill, the interior of the lid enamelled with a finely painted bunch of flowers against a green ground. Bruguiers's Trade mark and numbers both on the front and back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 94 x 63 x 20 mm.
