L. Leroy & Cie, Paris, No. 1576, sold to the French Navy following the timing contest organised from June to October 1936. Fine mahogany 49 hour going marine chronometer with power reserve indication.

C.Three body mahogany box with external brass handles, glazed upper section with hinged lid. Brass circular gimbal and bowl. D. Silvered with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down sector. GiIt brass "spade" hands. M. Brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, Guillaume integral compensation balance, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond end-stone. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Dial diam. 95 mm.
