Not signed, French, made for the Chinese market, circa 1840. Fine giit brass and enamel, hour and half hour striking, eight day going carriage clock with centre seconds.

C. GiIt brass, "one-piece-case" with five glazed panels, entirely engraved with champleve blue, green, white and red translucent enamelled decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "treffle" hands. GiIt brass dial plate engraved with flowers and with champleve blue, green, white and red translucent enamelled decoration. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, engraved platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, bluedsteel flat balance spring. Striking on a bell. In very good condition. Dim. 14 x 10 x 8,6 cm.
