Lepaute à Paris, circa 1775. Very rare and small, hour and half hour striking, eight day going early "pendule d' officier", in original fitted leather travelling box.
C. GiIt bronze with applied cast foliage decoration, folding handle at the top, the bezel with floral chased decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. GiIt bras chased and pierced Louis XV hands. M. GiIt brass circular full plate with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass pierced and engraved continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 18 x 9 x 6 cm. including the handle.
