C. GiIt bronze, cubical, with cast foliage decoration, the glass dial on the top with a candlestick behind. D. Circular glass with Roman numerals and gilt brass bezel. Single gilt brass arrow hand. M. Brass, circular eight day going with going barrel, platform escapement with frictional rest escapement of Debaufre type, as improved by Paul Garnier for carriage clocks, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. In good condition. DIm. 35 x 11,5 x 10, 5 cm.

Notes

This clock differs from those made by Robert-Houdin by the case with the candlestick, the movement and the way the glass disc bearing the single hand is driven. In this clock, the disc is driven by means of a cord, while in the Robert-Houdin's one, it is driven by means of a gear train.
