Notes

Most of these swinging regulators were produced in Morez (French Jura), by Prosdame. They were made for the jewellers and watchmakers, to be hung in their windows. Therefore the time could be seen both from the street and from the shop and constituted a kind of attraction. The actual regulator, with his shaped cabinet certainly was a special order and can be unique.
