Not signed, France, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze, eight-day going, quarterrepeating "grande et petite sonnerie" quarter repeating carriage clock with alarm and decorated dial.

C. Gilt brass, "Pillars", glazed on five faces with shaped doucines. D. Ivory with Arabic numerals, decorated with painted flowers and Cupids, the border applied with a gilt and polychrome brass floral decoration. Blued-steel "fleurs de lys" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, bluedsteel flat balance spring. Striking repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top and grande sonnerie/petite sonnerie/silent optional lever in the base. Alarm with a small white enamel setting dial on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 15 x 10 x 8 cm. excluding the handle.
