Not signed, France, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze, eight-day going, quarterrepeating "grande et petite sonnerie" quarter repeating carriage clock with alarm and double calendar.

C. Gilt brass, "Gorge", glazed on five faces, the top one engraved with the monogram "M.H.". D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, subsidiary dials, for alarm setting, days of the week and dates. Blued-steel "fleurs de lys" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, bluedsteel flat balance spring. Striking repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top and grande sonnerie/petite sonnerie/silent optional lever in the base. In very good condition. Dim. 14,5 x 9 x 8 cm. excluding the handle.
