L.C. Grandjean, Locle, Swiss, No. 4662, circa 1880. Very fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless independent split seconds watch with 1/4 second " diablotine".

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", engineturned with reeded band. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. D. Three piece, white enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and independent seconds rings, sunk subsidiary 1/4 second "foudroyante" register. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 19"', nickel plated, double train with differential winding, 35 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Independent split seconds mechanism with visible work and push pieces in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
