Ch. Ad. Montandon, Locle, No. 19534, Swiss, made for the Spanish or the South American market, circa 1880. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", the band with engraved decoration, cover and back with foliage decoration in a "vermicelli" pattern and outer floral ornament. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. D. Silver with Roman numerals, outer minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds, applied with a gold cast decoration. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18"', nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
