R. Ortega, Swiss, circa 1890. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold, keyless, double face gun-man watch with special 30 seconds chronograph.

C. Three piece, massive, "bassine et filets" with reeded band, glazed on both faces. D. White enamel on the front with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. White enamel on the reverse with 30 seconds register and outer scale of 10 sections of 20 divisions each. Counterpoised blued steel centre hand. M. 18-, nickel plated, "à vagues" decoration, lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Chronograph released by depressing the winding crown. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
