Sold in 1969 for 3900 Francs, to the Service Hydrographique de la Marine, with original rating book, attesting it was delivered to the E.E Maillé-Brézé on the 22 April 1970 It was subsequently transfered and used on the aircraft carrier Marechal Foch from the 25 September 1979 and on the Galatée from the 28 October 1986. With photocopies of the original papers relating to the "Concours de chronomètres" organised by the Service hydrographique de la Marine from the 16 January to the 20 May 1961 and from the communication by M. Pierre Leroy to the Société Suisse de Chronométrie.
Fine mahogany Chronostat III. C. Double body mahogany, rectangular with glazed lid. D. Silvered with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "dauphines" hands. M. Transistor controlled electrically impulse, chronometer pattern Guillaume balance, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring. Signed on the dial and the movement. In very good condition. Dim. 17 x 13 x 9 cm.
