Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating skeleton watch with automaton Jacks.

C. Three body, Empire, polished with reeded band. Glazed cuvette with bezel engraved with foliage. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals (hair lines). Later gold "pear" hands. Applied against the skeletonized front plate, three coloured gold cupids, driven by the repeating train, strike hours and quarters on two bells above. M. GiIt brass full plate, the back plate fully pierced and engraved decoration, cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain gilt brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, giIt brass continental cock and garnet end-stone. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. In good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
