Anonymous, Swiss, made for the Chinese market, circa 1850. Fine and unusual silver dead beat center second watch with "diablotine" and special escapement.

C. Four body, massive, "forme quatre baguettes", engine-turned. silver cuvette. D. White enamel with rRoman numerals and subsidiary 1/4 second " foudroyante". Blued steel "trefle" hands. M. GiIt brass partly skeletonized full plate, with going barrel, four teeth star-wheel duplex escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
