Fres. Bordier, N.67896., Swiss, circa 1800. Fine Swiss gold and enamel form watch designed as a cockle shell.
C. Two-part, the covers with engraved gold decoration inset with champleve enamelled patterns simulating the shell structure in pale blue, black, yellow and red guilloche enamel with loop pendant. D. White enamel, Arabic hour numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Polished gold hands. M. Frosted and gilt full plate, fusee and chain, now converted to cylinder escapement with plain 3-arm brass balance, flat spring and regulator. Continental cock. Signed on the dial and movement. In good condition. Dims. 43 x 31 mm.
