J. A. Gorjon, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine and rare oval gold and enamel snuff box with watch, the enamel attributable to Richter.
C. Threepart, the band and base decorated with panels of blue guilloche enamel within engraved, black, blue and white enamel borders(small well executed repair), the double hinged cover with similar border and decorated in polychrome enamel with a scene of numerous children at play involved in a game of marbles, blind man's bull and others, one side with a snuff compartment, a smaller hinged lid revealing the watch. D. Escutcheon shaped dial plate decorated in blue guilloche enamel with white enamel dial, Arabic hour numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock, the regulator scale in pale blue enamel below. Blued-steel moon hands. M. Shield shaped with gilt plates, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement with a plain brass 3-arm balance, flat spring and regulator. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Dims. 95 x 26mm.
