Girard Perregaux, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss, No. 22628, case No. 22628, made for the Spanish or South American market, circa 1880. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless pocket chronometer with tourbillon regulator.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", fully engraved with a floral decoration. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. D. Silver with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds, engraved and applied with a gold cast floral decoration. Blued steel fancy hands. M. Full plate, nickel plated, the tourbillon visible through a circular aperture. with a gold applied cartouche below two standing lions, gold wheel train with going barrel, 15 jewels, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. One minute tourbillon regulator by Ernest Guinand ( second type) with polished steel carriage, driven by the minute wheel. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
