Achille Brocot, No. 2811. French, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze and alabaster, hour and hait hour striking, center seconds, moon phase astronomical glazed mantel regulator with perpetual calendar.

C. "corniche" with alabaster top and base, glazed on four panels. D. White enamel, small eccentric with Roman numerals, and outer Arabic center seconds ring. Blued steel "spade" hands. Subsidiary dial for the perpetual calendar with moon phase aperture, and small chapters for the days of the week, the month and the dates. M. Brass with going barrels, visible Brocot escapement above the dial, half second beating pendulum with a temperature compensation in the bob, drawn from that of Ellicott, Brocot suspension. Striking on a bell. Driven by the striking train, the perpetual calendar is made according of the Brocot's patent as illustrated in Claudius Saunier, Traité d'Horlogerie Moderne, plate 20. Signed by the trade mark on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 41 x 27 20 cm.
