Marks & Co. Ltd., Bombay & Poona, No. 1049, Swiss, circa 1900. Magnificent 18 ct gold, enamel, diamond and ruby set hunter cased minute repeating, moon phase astronomical keyless watch with perpetual calendar and chronograph.

By Ferrero, four part with rope twist engraved band, the covers with elaborate rosette patterns in old cut diamonds and rubies on a green guilloche ground, the bezels with alternate large split pearls and twinned diamonds, back en suite with slightly smaller motif (very small repaired chip). Hinged and glazed cuvette. D. White enamel, Roman hour numerals, outer Arabic 5 minute numerals with minute and chronograph marks, sunk subsidiary rings for bis-sextile years, date, week day, seconds with moon phase and calendar, concentric with the subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel fleur-de-lys and counterpoised chronograph and calendar hands. M. Frosted and gilt hait plate, 31 jewels, straight line adjustable lever escapement, two arm compensation balance, spiral spring with overcoil and regulator, grained and partially polished chronograph work visible on the back plate, minute repeating on two gongs with slides and push button in the band. Signed on movement and dial. In very good condition. Diam. 57mm.
