Anonymous, circa 1793. Very rare 18 ct. gold decimal and duo-decimal dial watch with dual calendar.

C. Double body, Louis XVI, polished. D. Enamel with two small chapter rings for decimal and duodecimal time, both with Breguet numerals,further subsidiary dials for Republican calendar of 30 days and days of the Decade (republican week of ten days). Gilt brass hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. In good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
