P. Belon à Paris, circa 1635. Very fine gilt-metal and rock crystal crucifix watch.

C. Gilt-brass two piece frame engraved with delicate foliage and hatch-work. Hinged faceted rock crystal cover and back, loose-ring pendant and button finial. D. Hinged gilt-brass dial plate engraved with delicate foliage and a Roman chapter ring. Single balluster-turned blued-steel hand. M. Gilt-brass shaped plates, turned urn pillars, fusee with gut line, short train, verge escapement, two-arm steel balance wheel without spring, irregular oval foliage pierced and engraved cock, with matching click and ratchet wheel set-up. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition in a later black leather fitted box. Dim. 65 x 37 mm. (excluding ring)
