Le Roy & Fils, Horlogers de la Marine, Palais Royal, 13 et 15 galerie Montpensier, Paris, 211 Regent Street, London, No. 54912, circa 1895. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch with chronograph and unusual central 60 minute recorder.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", fully chased in high relief with scrolled foliage decoration, the cover with a monogram below a royal crown, the back with a bunch of flowers. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer Arabic minute, chronograph and minute recorder ring. Gold "spade" hands. M. 19"' , gilt brass, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band, chronograph with visible work, push piece in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.

This watch, certainly of Royal provenance according to the crown chased on the cover, and the quality of the very heavy case, is fitted with a chronograph with central minute recorder, an unusual and fairly rare feature.
