Charles Oudin, Paris, circa 1835. Extremely fine and rare silver carriage clock with chronometer escapement and double calendar, in original travelling fitted box.
C. Multi-piece, engine-turned, glazed on three sides, the flat section columns mounted with palmettes. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. Engine-turned gilt dial-plate with two subsidiary dials for date and days of the week. Gold "serpent" hands. M. Rectangular gilt brass, fusee with chain, platform escapement with spring detent escapement, three-arm compensation balance of Louis Berthoud type with trapezoidal platinum weights, flat balance spring. In very good condition. Dim. 17,5 x 10 x 8 cm., excluding the handle.
