Unsigned, made by Paul Garnier, No. 1691, circa 1850. Fine gilt bronze, eight-day going, hour and half hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm and special escapement.

C. Gilt bronze, "later type multi-piece" entirely engraved with scrolls. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued-steel "trefle" hands. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, Paul Garnier frictional rest escapement with double escape wheel and single pallet on the balance staff, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring. Striking on a bell. In very good condition. Dim. 13 x 9 x 7,5 cm. excluding the handle.
