V.W.B., (Bosset or Victorien Bousset) in Morez, France, No. 631, made for Tiffany & Cie., Paris, circa 1880. Very fine quarter-repeating, "grande and petite sonnerie" moon phase astronomical carriage clock with fly-back calendar, thermometer and barometer.

C. Gilt bronze, "Anglaise riche" with silvered corinthian columns, glazed on five faces. D. White enamel with Roman mimerais and outer Arabic minute ring. blued-steel Breguet hands. Subsidiary dials for the months, the the date and barometer, fly- back scale for the days of the week with symmetrical centigrade thermometer. Gilt brass dial-plate engraved with a foliage decoration. M. Gilt brass with going barrels, platform straight line lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Striking and repeating on gongs set between the dial and front plate, the striking work set on the back plate with an optional "grande - petite sonnerie - silence" lever. Trade mark on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 17 x 10,5 x 9,5 cm.
