Anonymous, French, made for the Chinese market, circa 1900. Very fine gilt bronze and cloisonne enamel, " petite sonnerie" quarter-repeating carriage clock with alarm.

C. Gilt bronze glazed, "Anglaise Riche" with Corinthian columns, decorated overall with cloisonne enamel in a floral pattern. D. Ivory enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals and gilt brass centre, subsidiary alarm setting dial. Bluedsteel "pear" hands. Dial plate with cloisonne enamelled decoration matching that of the case. M. Brass, eight-day with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Striking repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top. In very good condition. Dim. 15,5 x 10 x 9 cm., excluding the handle.
