Anonymous, French, circa 1890. An unusual and rare combined mystery clock, calendar barometer and double thermometer mounted as a desk set.

C. Gilt bronze rectangular mounted base with pen tray and rack and two crystal ink pots. D. Doubleridged gilt frame with glass dials, the gold painted Roman chapters to the left. Gilt "arrow" hands. Alcohol centigrade thermometer below. The barometer scale to the right with blued steel pointer a mercury centigrade thermometer below and small gilt triple calendar dials for day, month and date in the centre. M. Circular brass plates with going barrel with platform cylinder escapement. Steel aneroid barometer mechanism, both concealed in the base. In good condition. Dim. 24 X 29 X 16 cm.
