Notes

Regis was awarded a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 for a regulator identical to the one now offered for sale. In the absence of any illustration in the Exhibition catalogue, it is impossible to confirm that this is the actual clock. According to Regis, such regulators could run 5 years without attention. The gravity constant force escapement is described with two plates, in the report on the Exhibition, published in the Revue Chrononiétrrque, 1901, pp. 150 - 153.
