?Double Wheel Duplex - Quarter-Repeating? Bailly, Rue de Richelieu, a Paris, No. 1034. Made circa 1810, bearing Paris punch marks for 1809. Very fine and rare, quarter-repeating, 18K gold pocket watch with double-wheel duplex escapement, accompanied by a brass-mounted oak box.

C. Three-body, ?Empire?, reeded bezel and band, the back engine-turned and with a central oval cartouche, loose ring bow. Hinged gilt metal cuvette. D. White enamel by Luard, Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 40 mm., Lépine caliber, frosted gilt, standing barrel, double-wheel duplex escapement with polished steel escape wheel, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, the escapement jeweled, repeating on two square-section gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 46 mm.
