Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1780. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, double face triple calendar watch.

C. Two body, Louis XVI, glazed on both faces, the engine-turned bezels with champleve blue translucent enamelled flower garlands. D. White enamel on the front with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly restored). Gold Louis XV hands. White enamel on the rear face with outer days of the week, inner concentric dates in red, months with their number of days in red. Gold Louis XVI hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance with flat balance spring. In good condition. Diam. 42 mm.
