Le Tarbes, Locle, No. 15668, Swiss, circa 1860. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold, hunting cased, independent centre seconds watch with 1/4 second "diablotine".
C. Four body, massive "forme quatre baguettes", engine-turned with reeded band. Gold cuvette, engine-turned on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic centre seconds ring and sink 1/4 second register. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 21"', nickel plated, double train, 24 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Independent seconds train released by means of a push piece in the band. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
