A. Huguenin & Sons, Locle (Swiss), 13041, circa 1860. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold hunting cased independent split centre seconds watch with 1/4 second "foudroyante".
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", engineturned with reeded band. Gold cuvette, with engineturned border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and independent seconds rings, sunk subsidiary "diablotine" 1/4 second register. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 20"', nickel plated, double train, "à vagues" decoration, 20 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Independent split seconds train with push piece in the band. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
